Professional sound systems
Professional sound systems are usually required in venues where events and live performances are held. For example, in cultural centres, conference centres, churches and theatres, as well as broadcasting or recording studios.
The specifics of the sound system strongly depend on the room where it is being installed. For example, changes in the layout of the rooms at cultural centres are usually very minimal, so in venues like these, the sound system is compact, installed permanently and integrated in such a way as to not spoil the interior.
Concert halls, however, are transformed according to the performance genre or the scale of the event, so in venues like these, the sound system must be versatile, mobile, easily adaptable to the size of the audience, and capable of ensuring an even distribution of sound throughout the entire area of the auditorium. Since the layout of the auditorium in concert halls often changes, all of the audio equipment must be prepared for convenient and quick re-installation – this will save staff energy, time and resources in the future.
When using audio equipment in conference halls and centres, the sound quality of the microphone is given priority. For this reason, conference centres usually choose between stationary and mobile sound equipment packages that can be flexibly adapted to their premises.
Yet other professional sound solutions are needed in theatres. The needs of a modern theatre can only be met by an extremely high level system adapted to the acoustically sensitive theatre environment. To be able to stage various genres of performances in theatre spaces, an electroacoustic system can be installed, which actively changes the acoustics of the hall and adjusts the reverberation time.
Church is another environment that requires a lot of attention to acoustics. Churches tend to have very long reverberation times, so they require the right selection of sound system components, careful consideration of installation locations, and professional tuning of the equipment installed.
The opposite of resonant churches is recording studios. These are spaces that require completely different professional sound solutions. They usually use ultra-high-end close-range monitors and multi-channel audio equipment.
